Samara Jewelry is about the grace and freshness of botanical form, be it a leaf, flower, seedpod, or curling tendril. Inspired by nature, and abstracted into jewelry, Samara looks for the essence of form in the plant world, in its multitude of expressions. The Samara is the vibrant green seedpod of the Maple tree, appearing in late spring, just following the mist of tiny yellow-green flowers that finally relieve the relentless grey of winter. Children know the Samara better as the funny wing-shaped thing that will stick to your nose when the end is split open, providing idle amusement on those first warm bright days out of doors.
Samara Jewelry is made from Sterling Silver, combined with semiprecious stones, crystal glass, and colored metal. Each piece is individually designed and crafted by artist Patricia Flynn.
